The situation
Assessors did the site work, then a staff member rebuilt each report by hand: open the Excel workbook, copy the figures, paste them into the Word template, re-format the tables, check the numbers matched, save, send.
Four hours per report, fourteen manual steps, nine different templates. Every hour of it was time not spent on assessments.
What we built
One tool that reads the assessor's workbook and writes the finished report. All nine templates, their formatting held exactly, the figures carried straight through so there is nothing to re-check by eye.
It runs on a staff laptop. No new subscription, no login, no training day.
